We use recycled milk containers as the main ingredient in creating our toys. Yes, the exact plastic milk jugs that you and your family drink from every day. When you finish your milk and toss the container in the recycling bin, these milk containers are collected at your curb by a local recycling company, who then sorts them from all the other types of plastic. Next, the milk containers are reprocessed into super clean fresh plastic. For you plastic geeks, the plastic material we use is called high-density polyethylene (or HDPE). This material is considered one of the safest, cleanest plastics around.

Our toys are truly local creations. Every step in the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in California.     This tool set is awesome, awesome, awesome! The tools are built super tough, they are the perfect size for little hands to grasp and play with, the colors are bright, the toolbox is the perfect size for a little one to tote around the house and yard, and they are fun, fun fun! (Can you tell that I love this product?) Seriously, both of my boys LOVE these tools (ages 4 and 2) and love the toolbox, and in fact, it has been the source of many little squabbles because they both want to play with it! Each tool also has its name written on it, so they can learn their names as well. The tools are used for all kinds of things around our house, and for some reason the kids love digging with the screwdrivers. Well, they have held up perfectly to rough outdoor play and I just clean them off and they're ready for the next adventure! I will say that the kids are not all that into the nuts and bolts, but I think they are mainly just a nice addition to go with the set. If you have a little one who likes tools, I highly recommend this set!

    Atlantis Natural sent us the Green Toys Tool Set to review and Ella has LOVED it! It all started when I was putting together her art table and she wanted to help put the screws in. She of course couldn't do it, but tried really hard. Then we got the kids Tool Set and she's been so happy now that she can actually screw in the screws. She has been running around the house trying to "fix" everything!

    The set comes with a saw, a flat head and phillips head screwdriver, a hammer, pliers, wrench, and a variety of nuts, screws and bolts. The durable Tool Set is made out of 100% recycled milk jugs and is made in the USA. Your child can screw the screws using the blue hole connectors or hammer the bolts in to the side of the tool box. They can also use the pliers with the bolts. Everything is functional, except the saw, but I'm glad that's not!

    Our 4 year old granddaughter has played with this set a lot! She always finds new uses for the tools and repairs everything in sight. No need to tell her what tool is for what job. Very good playset, well made, and supports creativity. Another good feature is all the parts store in the toolbox.
