The Boba Baby Carrier has all of the features and flexibility you are looking for babies and toddlers 15 to 45 lbs (7-20 kg). One size fits most adults and accomodates either front or back carry. Since the baby carrier touches baby's delicate skin it is made of GOTS and OE100 certified organic cotton with an organic Texas cotton lining. It is easy to use but we include instructions for proper fit. The shoulder straps and waist are filled with high density foam to add comfort and our unique removable foot straps offer extra support for legs and hips. The high back provides better overall support for baby and it has a removable hood for days when the weather is a bit unpredictable.
The total weight of the carrier is 1.8 lbs and the waist belt is 5 inches wide. It extends from 28 to 56 inches. The shoulder straps extend from 19 to 38 inches. The body of the carrier is 13 inches wide and 16 inches tall.
As a soft structured carrier, Boba is a little higher to keep your center of gravity close to your body which is better for your child's back. The footstraps are attached to the waist belt and are completely removable but are great for supporting tired legs (rather than the dangle position of most carriers). They are intended to support bigger legs, usually when the child turns two. It brings knees to hip level which is more comfortable as well as better for supporting growing hip structure as well as ensuring complete blood floow throughout the legs.
The organic cotton fabric is butter soft with no snaps or buttons to pinch tender skin. The carrier envelops the whole back, allowing your child to put their arms in or out. The wider seat offers more complete support, bringing your little one closer to you. It also makes for more discrete nursing in the front carry position. The webbing is not sewn at a 90 degree angle, rather the triangular fabric makes it less likely to rip or tear and there is no horizontal line of pressure across the child's back.
